Driving BKCP's Digital Transformation: before, during and after.
Customer Case BKCP: BKCP Bank is one of the top 20 banks in Belgium and operates through a network of 49 branches and 45 Independent agents. It has over 135,000 customers and 390 employees in Belgium. It belongs to the Credit Mutuel Nord Europe group (CMNE), the fifth largest banking group in France.
In 2010, BKCP decided to migrate an outsourcing project to support the business growth envisioned by the bank's strategy. The wide scope of the project covered areas ranging from technical infrastructure (handled by Clearstream) and IT operations to business application development and support (migrated to Mainsys).
The project migration required that both functionality and technology execution did not impact the day-to-day operations of BKCP whilst at the same time maintaining data security and integrity. A number of platform migrations and technical upgrades ensured improved application performance, functionality and stability.
Since 2011, all of BKCP’s IT Infrastructure and Operations have been run by Clearstream on a 24*7*365 basis, with Application Development and Support provided by Mainsys. Both parties are working closely together to further optimise BKCP’s applications and processes, and identify additional added value, from scaling the mobile telephony needs to securing environments for the sensitive data transmission, in the various functions of the bank.
This partnership is an example of a financial player successfully leveraging an IT outsourcing partner with solid financial experience and IT acumen to enable internal expertise to focus on the business growth strategy.
